Monday 29th January saw the Great Fair Oak Bake Off return for its second year. The children were invited to bring in 6 cupcakes decorated in their own unique and imaginative ways. The music and drama room was turned into every cake lover's dream and the smell of sugar hit you as you opened the door!! The class teachers chose a winner from each class and then an overall winner and runner up were chosen from all entries across the school. The standard was incredibly high again this year but we had a very worthy winner and runner up. <insert photos x 2>
After school we held a cake sale which saw the tasty treats being snapped up in no time. Thank you to all our bakers.....Mary Berry would be very proud of your efforts!
At the end of March our popular discos were back. Thank you to all the lower and upper school pupils who attended. The fancy dress and effort that was put in was very much appreciated by all that attended. As always, the dancing was high intensity and there were difficult choices to be made on medal giving. Congratulations to all the medal winners and a special thank you to the adult volunteers without whom we could not provide these fun events for the school.
What a way to end the term! Chocolate in abundance!! The children had brought in Easter eggs and other chocolate goodies in exchange for a dress down day and the PSA then worked their magic with cellophane and ribbon to create a small mountain of Easter hampers! There were 14 hampers per class with a few bonus prizes too. The children's excitement was tangible as they waited to see if their name would be drawn. Congratulations to all the lucky winners and thank you to all the parents and carers for your support.
