Day 4 @ Fairthorne

Our faces dropped this morning as we walked out the doors of Heald House towards our pain au chocolat breakfast. The sky was grey and rain was sideways. Fortunately for my group our first activity was indoor archery – not all groups were so lucky. By lunchtime though we were sat in glorious sunshine. I went a bit photo mad today as the crate challenge and abseiling provided such perfect opportunities to photograph some very disciplined and courageous children. The instructors were singing their praises for how they conducted themselves and the way in which they efficiently completed the tasks. As tonight was our final night, we enjoyed a roast chicken dinner followed by ice-cream and them made our way down to the campfire. Martin, our brilliant team leader, led us in some very loud, active and silly songs and we shared a beautiful rendition of ‘Tomorrow’ from our upcoming musical Annie. The children have had an awesome time but they are all very much looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. I’m personally looking forward to a sleep in my own soft, non-bunk bed, that doesn’t squeak! See you at 14:15!
