Year 5

We are delighted to welcome you and your children to Year 5.

It's been great to see the children back in school: they have made a fantastic start already! Classes have settled really well and the children have already demonstrated how hardworking, respectful and resilient they can be – a brilliant start to their year 5 journey.

Uniform
We kindly remind all families of the importance of children attending school in the correct school uniform each day. Wearing the full, correct uniform helps pupils feel a sense of pride and belonging as well as supports our high standards across the school. The current expectations around school uniform are displayed on our website under school uniform.

Homework

Year 5 will have their homework given out on a Friday to be handed in and completed by the next Friday.

There will be 10 spellings (see below) to be tested on the following Friday, 20 minutes to be completed on Times Table Rockstars and 5 sessions of reading (of at least 5 minutes each) which will be recorded in the pupil reading record which will be checked by the teacher each Friday.
