You may not realise it, but as soon as your child joins Fair Oak Junior School you automatically become a member of the Parent Staff Association! But what is the Parent Staff Association and what exactly do they do?
· The Parent Staff Association is a fundraising group comprising of both parents and school staff who work together to raise money to buy things that a stretched school budget cannot cover, things that will benefit your child’s education and school life.
· The Parent Staff Association is led by a friendly committee (who are always looking for new members) who meet during the day, about once every half term.
· PSA money is spent annually on:
New books for the library
Donations towards school trips
Year 6 leaving treat (Bowling)
Leaving gifts for Year 6
· Over the past few years additional PSA funding has also been spent on:
The Millennium garden
Smokey Mountain (adventure playground) and trim trail
Staging
Interactive whiteboards
A new computer suite
Cookery room equipment
