Physical activity is a very important part of life at Fair Oak Junior School. We value the important role that it plays in a child’s development, whether that be for pleasure and enjoyment or in a competitive arena. We are an active member of the Hamble and District Sports Association and are a Football Association chartered school. We are also a committed member of the Hamble, Eastleigh and District sports leagues.

At Fair Oak Junior School there are a wide range of physical activity opportunities to engage the children. These are delivered through the curriculum, where every child receives at least two hours of physical activity a week, and after school clubs run by dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced staff.  Internal House competitions are also run across all sports so that all children get the chance to compete.

Fair Oak Junior School has produced a variety of highly successful sports teams in the fields of football, cricket, cross country, athletics, rounders, tag rugby, tennis as well as netball and teams have won the right to play at prestigious venues such as Southampton Football Club and the Hampshire Ageas Bowl.  In all teams, while developing a competitive element, Fair Oak Junior School is committed to a policy of sport for all and strongly emphasises the importance of fair play.
