May Sports News

Tuesday 5th May

Some of our girl cricketers played in a tournament on Tuesday 5th May against schools from the local area. Fair Oak entered two teams into the event. Our B team began with a 14-run victory over Colden Common and followed that up with a close 7-run loss against Fair Oak A. After beating Fair Oak B, our A team then faced Colden Common and were victorious by 42 runs, which meant that they were the overall tournament winners. Well done to all of those involved. We certainly have a lot of cricketing talent within the school!

Tuesday 12th May

On Tuesday 12th May, two teams took part in an athletics competition in which we competed against many other schools. The children were amazing throughout the event and showed fantastic teamwork, determination, and encouragement towards one another. It was wonderful to see how their dedication and commitment to our athletics club supported them during each event, with all the children performing brilliantly. Every child took part in a 75m sprint, 600m run, long jump, and a throwing event, demonstrating great effort and resilience in every activity. We were incredibly proud of all the children and the positive way they represented our school. The overall results are given below:
