Thursday 1st December
Our girls football team played their third round match in the Hampshire Cup today away to north Baddesley. Our team performed superbly on a difficult surface and a small pitch, nullifying the home teams goal threats brilliantly and hitting effectively on the break. By half time, the score stood at one – five to Fair Oak. Two goals were added in the second half, one for each side which left the final score at two six to Fair Oak!

Both our girls and boys table tennis teams had previously qualified for the table tennis County Finals event at Aldworth School in Basingstoke. The standard today was extremely high with the teams hoping to book their place at the National Finals later in the school year. Many of the participating players were table tennis club members but despite this, our athletes put in some super performances. Our girls A team finished in third place in their group while the B team finished fourth in theirs. Both of our boys teams finished fourth in their pools. Well done to all of our players – they should be extremely proud of themselves for their efforts today!
Hamble College was the venue for an indoor athletics event, this time between year three and four pupils from local schools. Just as in the upper school competition last month, athletes scored points depending on how well they did in their track and field events and these points were collated to give an overall team total. The boys and girls points were then added together to give a school total. When our competitors had finished their events and the calculating was completed, Fair Oak ended up in second place! The final standings are given below. Well done to all of our participating pupils.
