Tuesday 3rd March

Fair Oak entered five teams into a girls tag rugby tournament held on the Fair Oak Junior School field. Great credit must go to all of the players who participated. They were a credit to the school in both their attitude and ability! The competition took a league format where every team played every other team. The side with the most points at the end of the tournament would be crowned champions. After all of the fixtures had been played, the final league table stood as follows:

Well done to all of our amazing athletes. There really is so much tag rugby talent in our school!

One of our best cross country runners had previously negotiated her way through two gruelling qualifying competitions to make it to the Cross Country Championship finals race which was held today at Down Grange in Basingstoke. She was up against well over one hundred of the very best runners in Hampshire and so her finishing position of 56th was a really fantastic achievement. What a brilliant effort!

Friday 13th March

Fair Oak entered two teams into a year three and four hockey tournament today at Botley recreation ground. The event was played in a fantastic spirit with all of the competing players really enjoying themselves and displaying some fantastic hockey skills at the same time! After all of the fixtures had been completed, the final result was as follows:

Monday 16th March

Our boys football team played their Hampshire Cup semi-final today at home to Western Primary School. Fair Oak started the match on the front foot and raced into an early lead. Western equalised mid-way through the first half and at half time, the scores were level. The second half was an even affair but unfortunately our visitors took one of the few chances either side created and Fair Oak could not find an equaliser despite some late pressure on the Western goal. Despite the result, our boys should feel proud of the way they played today and how far they have reached in one of the toughest competitions in the county!
