April Sports News!

Tuesday 5th April

Four teams were entered into a tag rugby tournament today held at Barton Peveril between schools from the South Eastleigh and Winchester partnership. The event took a league format where each team played every other team. After all the fixtures had been played, Fair Oak 4 finished in fourth place, Fair Oak 3 in fifth place, Fair Oak 2 were tournament runners up and the overall winners were Fair Oak 1 with a one hundred percent record!  Well done to all of our teams who performed brilliantly throughout the event. What an amazing result for Fair Oak!

Tuesday 26th April

The boys cricket team played their first match in the Hampshire Cup for this year away to Twyford. The home side won the toss and elected to field first. Fair Oak batted steadily and ended up with 222 for 5. After a difficult start to their run chase, Twyford gained control and clinched the winning run in the final over of the match to end on 223 for 6. Well done to our team for a good overall performance. They will now need to wait for other results to see if they make it through to the next stage of the competition as one of the best group runners up.

Thursday 28th April
