The Fair Oak Raspberry Jam is intended as a hands-on style event and is about giving people the chance to turn up and work on the credit card sized Raspberry Pi computer and other single board computer (SBC) related projects together and to share what they have created. All sorts of people are welcome, from teachers, parents and children through hobbyists to professional software developers and hardware hackers. Tea, coffee, juice and biscuits will be available with an honesty box for contributions to costs. The Fair Oak Junior School Code Club will have their 12 Raspberry Pi SBCs set up with monitors keyboards and mice, a selection of other SBCs such as 8 BBC Micro:Bits and Arduinos along with various add-on boards and sensors/actuators and we have a number of keen young coders who will be ready to show you various projects they have used them with and/or help you learn to create your own using the Scratch or Python programming languages!
