Well done to all of our fantastic footballers. There really were some outstanding performances today!

Tuesday 8th November

Our girls football team played their second round match in the Hampshire Cup today at home to Blackfield. Fair Oak started strongly and put our opponents under pressure throughout with their excellent pressing and work rate. The hard work paid off as our girls found themselves two nil up at half time. There was no let up from Fair Oak after the break and a third goal was added leaving the final score at three nil. Well done to the team for a very solid all round performance!

Wednesday 9th November

It was the turn of our boys to play their second round Hampshire Cup match today at home to Hook with Warsash. The game started brightly for Fair Oak who were rewarded for some flowing football with the first goal. However, our opponents grew into the game and used their superior physicality to force themselves back into the match and at half time, it was Hook with Warsash who held a slender one goal advantage at two goals to one. The visitors scored again early in the second half and despite almost constant pressure from the home side, Hook hit again on the break to score a fourth with virtually the last kick of the game. Despite the result, our boys should be proud of the way they played today. Well done to all of those involved.

Thursday 10th November

A mixture of our year 5 and 6 pupils travelled to Wildern school today to participate in a Change for Life festival. Schools from the local area took part in the event which gave all of the pupils an opportunity to improve their multi skills. Both Fair Oak teams performed really well and represented our school brilliantly.

Tuesday 15th November

Wyvern College was the venue for the South Eastleigh and Winchester team table tennis event today. The winners of the competition would go through to the prestigious County Finals later in the school year! The tournament took a league format with each side playing every other team. The school with the most points at the end would be crowned winners. After all the matches had been played, the final table was as follows:

Tuesday 22nd November

Wyvern was the venue for an indoor athletics event between year five and six pupils from local schools. The winners would go through to the County Finals later in the school year. Competitors scored points depending on how well they did in their track and field events and these points were collated to give an overall team total. The boys and girls points were then added together to give a school total. When our athletes had finished their events and the calculating was completed, Fair Oak ended up in first place and have now qualified for the Hampshire finals event! The final standings were as follows:
