Dear Fair Oak Family,

Happy Monday! Please can we take this opportunity to remind our families to at all times follow social distancing rules/government guidelines inside and outside of school as we are having a number of children report to us that they are meeting up with friends and family, not necessarily in their bubbles, during the evenings and weekends. We now have light at the end of the tunnel and are close to restrictions being eased, so please work together with the government to get back to a level of normality in the coming months. Thank you.

Please see below a few key points to remember

  • We are able to operate as safely as possible by maintaining bubbles and measures in our school reflect this. We would ask all parents and students to follow the entrance and exit map (attached) and follow the one -way system of entering and exiting the Wyvern Site.
  • We would like to encourage all parents and visitors to enter the Wyvern campus wearing a face mask/covering (unless exempt), especially where social distancing cannot be maintained.  Social distancing can also be maintained by arriving on time and by leaving site as promptly as possible.
  • There is now a major construction site on campus with work already taking place at the Junior and Infants schools, and shortly for Wyvern College. This means that extra care must be taken when journeying to and from the Campus, and whilst on Campus.
  • There can be no vehicular access to the Wyvern site unless you have a valid permit. Parents will be turned away without a valid permit displayed.

World Book Day…Just a reminder about the Book Nook competition we are running for World Book Day this Thursday. Mrs Smith has been busy creating a scene from the book 'The Explorer', which Year 5 are currently studying. It's amazing what can be done with a cereal box, paper, glue & paint! Great fun to create. Closing date is Wednesday 10th March but children can send in photos on WBD itself.
