Dear Fair Oak Family,

Happy Wednesday!

News for all pupils

Thank you for those that attended parents evening via Teams over the past two weeks. Hopefully you have found this very useful. The teachers have loved having the chance to get to meet you, share information and have conversations about your child's return to school/ full opening of school. Unfortunately, our school internet connection wasn't working in our favour last night and we had quite a few connectivity issues, so we apologise for that and hope you still managed to get on Teams, or a phone call was made by the class teacher in place of the Teams call.

Further to this, we just wanted to remind you that Teams is now the format used for homework. The children will be able to complete and submit their work here, so please – if you haven’t already done so – get set up on Teams as soon as you are able to. You can call the school office if you need a reminder of how to go about this, we will be happy to help. Please also have a look at our You Tube ‘how to’ videos, that help with this.

Please can we remind all parents that if a child is isolating awaiting a covid test result or due to a bubble closure, the child MUST self-isolate for the full 10 days and not be mixing with other members of the community including at drop off and collection time either here at the Juniors or at Fair Oak Infant School. If you are having trouble safely organising drop off and collections from either school due to this, please contact the relevant school and we will do what we can do to support.

Thank you for your support for Red Nose Day. We raised £1162.57 which has all been paid to the charity and covered our deposit which we paid for the red noses. The children all had a fun day in school and enjoyed learning about how their generous gifts will help others.

Thank you once again,

Judith Sear
