Dear Fair Oak Family,

An important reminder - please do not to use any of the parking spaces along by the main green gate to drop children off in the mornings. Whilst building work is in progress, these are the only parking spaces available to staff and even though they may be empty when you arrive in the morning, staff are also arriving all the time and having to go off site to find alternative parking when these are occupied by parents. Thank you for your support during this tricky period of time.

News for all pupils

As part of their WW2 topic, our year 6 children have been designing their own propaganda posters and have now applied their knowledge to creating their own public health poster about COVID 19. We would like to display these posters within the Fair Oak community and beyond so that the children have played a small part helping with the national effort to stop the spread of the virus.

If any of you or family members, work in a business or premises and would be willing to display the posters, please could you contact the office team via email including a contact number and (if your child is currently in school) the name of the year group and bubble teacher your child is in. We have asked for your child’s name so that we can send (via your child) the posters home to be then displayed at the premises where you work. Once the year 6 work has been collected in, we will quarantine them for 72 hours before sending them home.

If your child is being home schooled, could we kindly ask that you collect the posters, to be displayed, from a member of staff at the green gate at a convenient time to you (but within the school day). Poster will be ready for collection from Monday 1st March.

• If your child is a school council representative, please look out for an email in the first week back after half term inviting them to attend a virtual school council meeting altogether. If your child is in school, we will make sure that they are able to access the meeting from school so everyone can be involved. We will be completing parents evening virtually this term. The dates currently scheduled for these meetings are 18th and 23rd March. Please look out for further information on times and booking after half term.
