Dear Fair Oak Family,
Happy Monday everyone!
Welcome back! We were so excited this morning to see so many happy smiling faces and the eagerness for children to be back in school with their friends and teachers again. Hopefully the drop off went smoothly for you all this morning but we are very aware that some children may have found the idea of coming back to school more daunting than others. As always, if you feel you or your family need any support going forwards, we are all here to help.
Messages from the Office….
Red Nose Day is on Friday the 19th March and is a ‘dress as you please’ day. Please see the attached letter with all the information you need to join in the fun!
PE Challenges for this week….
We know the children are back in school with us now, but if you are ever at a loose end or looking for some exercise inspiration at home, please see the attached challenges for this week.
Message from Mr Stredwick…
Tag rugby training at lunch times will be cancelled until Easter as we do not want class bubbles to mix with each other. This will be reviewed after Easter, so watch this space!
Reading records on Teams
Starting on Monday 15th March, all children will be able to access a copy of the reading record on Teams. The record is in the same format as the homework diary. The expectation is that children should fill this in weekly, reading 5x a week and submit it on their class Team on a Monday. This can be done in the same way as the assignments are currently handed in. A video for submitting work is on our school You Tube site. A fresh reading focus will then be set for that week. Uploading this for a Monday will hopefully be more manageable and also gives you the weekend to complete. Many thanks for your anticipated support with this change.
