Well done to both of our teams for some great performances today!

    Tuesday 17th May

Fair Oak took a development athletics team to a quad kids event hosted by Wildern School. The athletes had to perform four events including 80m sprint, 600m run, standing long jump and a howler throw. Points were awarded according to our teams performance in each event. The overall standings will be announced at the next quad kids competition later in the month when the scores from all participating schools will be collated.

    Wednesday 18th May

Our girls football team had previously qualified for the Premier League Primary Stars National Football Finals Tournament and today represented Southampton FC at Vicarage Road, Watford. The standard of play was extremely high. Our girls were drawn in a group with the representative teams of Newcastle, Bristol Rovers, Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion. We began with a narrow one nil defeat to Newcastle and this was followed by another loss, this time to Bristol Rovers by two goals to nil. Our final two fixtures ended in one nil defeats to Wolves and West Brom. Despite these results, our girls can be proud of themselves as they pushed each of their opponents hard throughout their matches and were unlucky not to come away with a win. Well done girls for making it this far in a competition in which over one thousand schools entered!
