Dear Fair Oak Family,
Flu vaccinations – tomorrow! The school nursing team are visiting tomorrow (Wednesday 4th November), to administer flu vaccines to all those who have responded to the flu letter sent out previously.
The E-consent system will re-open on Thursday. Anyone who still wishes to consent for flu and was unable to do so previously will then be able to do so. Once you have completed an E-consent form for your child you will then need to email the school nursing team on SHFT.southwesthantsimmunisationteam@nhs.net to make an appointment at our flu catch up clinic.

Flu vaccinations
The school nursing team will visit on Wednesday 4th November to administer flu vaccines to all those who have responded to the flu letter sent out previously. We have attached the letter again for your attention.
Mid-term reports
Please find attached a letter detailing what will be replacing this year’s Parents Evenings for your information.
Use of Zoom…
Please see the attached letter detailing how Zoom would be used during bubble or class isolation should the need arise.
Scopay alerts
Some of you may be aware that you can set up alerts on your Scopay account to let you know when (for example), the balance on your child’s dinner account falls below a certain amount – or in more ‘normal’ times, reminders to pay for school trips etc. This facility was temporarily removed by Scopay during the lockdown period but at our request has now been reinstated. You just need to log in and go to the ‘alerts’ tab at the top of the page to set this up as required.
Poppy Appeal
If you are able to, please have a look at the attached flyer and donate if you can to this year’s Poppy Appeal. We are unable to sell poppies in school this year, so we know they would really appreciate your support. Thank you.
Year 4 Life Skills Day
Just a quick reminder that Year 4 will be having their life skills day on Friday (23rd October) and that they are allowed to wear their own clothes to school. Children can still bring in a packed lunch or have a school meal as usual.

Fair Oak entered twenty of our top cross country runners from each year into a ‘virtual’ cross country event today organised by Boundary Oak School. There were four races in total, one for each year group. Our year 3 and 4 athletes completed a one kilometre run around the Lapstone playing fields while our year 5 and 6 athletes ran two kilometres. Times were sent off to Boundary Oak who compiled all participating schools running results and then calculated the overall standings. Amazingly, Fair Oak finished as winners in all of the four year group races! What a fantastic result for our school. Well done to all of those athletes who took part!
